Description:

Built between 1834 and 1844 by architect and estate owner Étienne-Jean-Baptiste Blon, the Chapelle de la Chantrerie is an early example of the neo-Gothic style in the region. Located on a promontory overlooking the Erdre River, it is part of the Parc de la Chantrerie, a 17-hectare landscaped park designed in the 19th century. Deconsecrated and officially listed as a Historic Monument since 1997, the chapel underwent full restoration, including its stained glass windows, in 2019. In 2023, it was repurposed as a unique venue for stargazing and cultural events, known as the "Bar à étoiles de l’Erdre."
